We are ADOPTING!
We are over the moon excited to begin this journey. We understand that this road will not be without its challenges both emotionally and financially. We have started this blog to document our adoption process and be able to share with our family and friends any updates along the way.
We explain where we are at today, we need to take a moment to address where we came from. Jesse grew up in Western Washington and moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 2010 to attend WyoTech. Brittney was also in Laramie at the same time, however she was attending the University of Wyoming. They met through a mutual acquaintance. At the close of the 2010/2011 school year we moved to an area close to where Brittney grew up in, Billings, Montana. It was at this point when we got our first taste of adult life… work, eat, sleep, repeat.
In November 2013 we got married. About a year later we decided we wanted to start our family. Adoption had always been on the table for us. We had discussed in depth our desire to adopt regardless if we could have biological children. We had been told before we were even engaged that we could have issues conceiving naturally, so when we ran into not being able to get pregnant wasn’t a complete surprise. After some time of trying and with no success we decided it was time to hit the brakes and focus on us.
In October of 2017 we official started our family. We adopted a 3-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer from a rescue in Billings, we named him Bunker. Bunker has been a great addition to our family. There is never a dull moment. He is where the “Tails” portion of our blog name came from. We started with a tail and are working our way to a toddler. Jesse will have more stories in the blog about Bunker and his crazy antics.
We want to thank everyone for taking the time to read our blog and supporting us through this process.

PS: This is our first time writing a blog so if it’s horrible, please bear with us. Just think of it as B rated cheesy movie that you can’t stop watching. Eventually something good will happen.
